Purpose

This assignment is designed to give you the experience of conducting your own piece of research. This involves:

• identifying the result of a t-test in published literature and formulating a new experiment based on the existing finding, 
• operationalising variables for the required study design, 
• performing a statistical analysis and reporting and interpreting the results.

This assignment draws on materials from weeks 1-6 of the course, including online materials, lectures, and tutorials.

Your assignment should be written in a Word document that meets standard APA 7 formatting requirements, including (but not limited to) 12pt font and double line spacing.

Assignment Subsections

We encourage you to read this assignment guide in full before commencing your data analysis. Your assignment will contain three main sections, each of which should be clearly labelled with a heading. At the end of your assignment, you will need to include an appendix with relevant jamovi output.

(i) Experiment Formulation
