Project Management Assignment - Report Writing

You are required to think about a project that you might be involved in or would like to understand better. E.g.

• Construction
• Retail
• Agriculture
• Public health

Develop a project plan in MS project 2013 or any other project management software. Prepare a report in MS Word to the project sponsor that shows how you propose to implement this project. As a minimum you should provide your project plan as a business report including the following typical plan components: 1. Goals, scope and assumptions 2. The perceived benefits of your project 3. A minimum of 25 structured tasks not including major deliverables or milestones 4. A start date, finish date and duration for each task 5. Precedence of tasks 6. Resources with costs - people, places, facilities 7. Graphical evidence of your project (Gantt chart, network diagram, resource lists, cash flow, project summary reports) 8. A risk management plan 9. Supporting management material - other evidence that ties your project together and makes it workable 10. A "baseline" ready project. Your project is due to begin on 1 July 2017. Consider this an opportunity to propose a project ready to run, ensure the project and the support material reflect that this project could be implemented if it was given the Green Light !
