Problem
1. Construct a MATLAB script for a mid-tread uniform quantizer (odd number of quantization levels) that can digitize the analog signal m(t) = sin(t), -10 sec 2. Develop two functions for an A-law compressor and its inverse and test their correct functionality as they are supposed to compensate each other for an arbitrary input sequence. Repeat the two examples for nonuniform_ex4.m and nonuniform_ex5.m using 4-law and its inverse functions and then tabulate and compare the SQNR values obtained for 3 different quantization levels. Discuss the PCM performance in the two cases and its sensitivity to the dynamic range of the input sequence. This Engineering has been solved by our PHD Experts at My Uni Papers.
