Overview

This assessment task consists of a 15-minute video presentation. It requires students to draw on their research, analytical thinking skills, and communication skills to demonstrate their knowledge of an organization’s external and internal environment, including ethical, social, and sustainability issues and the impact this will have on a chosen HR issue/topic. The presentation should include a discussion of the chosen HR topic and offer creative and workable solutions that are sustainable, ethical while also meeting the organisation’s objectives.

Brief

This assessment consists of one 15-minute Individual video presentation (recorded). Your target audience for the presentation is the executive team of a chosen organization.

Based on the list of HR topics listed below, you will conduct your own background research to identify a large Australian based organisation (of your choice)

Once chosen, draw on your knowledge of HR concepts and content from HRMG207, and supplement this with further research to understand the HR topic and how it applies to your chosen organization. You will use your analytical and critical thinking skills to:

• Explain the current context that the chosen organization currently operates in (contextual factors external and internal environment)
• Demonstrate your understanding of how the issue relates to HR operations and practices, and overall company practice.
• Offer creative, sustainable HRM solutions for the organisation, with consideration of sustainability and/or ethical issues
