b) Extract the first two columns of the dataframe “patientdata”
c) Print out the values located on the first and second row, third column
d) Print the value on the first row in the third column of the data frame “patientdata” and then Change to “Type2”
Q2: Do the following on the inbuilt dataset “mtcars”
a) Check the summary statistics of the dataset.
b) Extract all columns of mtcars with Gear: is equal to 4 using indexing.
c) Find all rows where mpg is greater than 20 and return only those rows with their mpg and hp data
d) Find the row with the highest mpg
e) Find the mpg information only for the highest mpg
Q3: Perform the following operations on the “iris: dataset.
a) Get the means of the first 2 columns in the “iris” dataset by Species
b) Create vector x which is the alternation of 1 and 2, 75 times, check the length
c) Attach x to iris as dataframe “irisx”, check the head
d) How many observations in “iris” have a Sepal.Length greater or equal 5?
Q4: Do the following on the inbuilt dataset “Toothgrowth”.
a) Find if there is any missing value in the dataset Toothgrowth.
b) Calculate the mean length of teeth (len) for each delivery method (supp)
c) Calculate the mean length of teeth (len) for each delivery method (supp) and dose level (dose).
Q5:
A. Create a dummy date object and dummy data with 50 random numbers 5 columns and name the columns. Generate a zoo object. Examine the dimensions of the data. Construct head and summary of this data.
B. Create a zoo object with 500 indexes starting from January 1, 2000 (by sequence of 3). Aggregate this data in quarterly fashion and also calculate the mean for each quarter. Similarly, aggregate this data in monthly fashion and calculate the standard deviation for each month.
C. Create 2 zoo objects with 1000 data points each and index starting from January 1, 2010 and combine them. Now, extract these dates.
D. Plotting the zoo object- plot the combined zoo object. Now edit the plot with respect to the following points-
a) put the plot in a single column
b) change the colour to red and blue respectively
c) double the line width
d) add a central heading and name the axes, also add the legend on bottom left and fill them red and blue respectively
