The information transmitted by communication systems over long distances is achieved through modulation. We can text, video chat, and talk anyone on this planet via modulation. It is the technique which is used to vary the properties of a specific waveform, known as the carrier signal using a modulating signal that contains the useful information to be transmitted. The modulated signal is able to be transmitted over a communication link. In the real world, the technique is useful to send radio, TV and other RF signals. However, the modulated signal when reaches at the receiver end, the original information is extracted out and the process is known as demodulation. The modulation and demodulation techniques are used everywhere in the real world. Modulation is used to send information about a particular channel or to play a particular radio frequency on a particular channel. Wi-Fi signal is also transmitted through a modem which is a modulator and a demodulator, thus named as Mo (modulation) Dem (Demodulator). In today’s world, signals are used everywhere from sending music to transmitting confidential data securely, a modulation and demodulation technique is implemented in all of them.
