This project aims to use a market segmentation framework to visualize a target market by choosing images that reflect the life of a target customer. You need to read this report and make sure that you understand the Aspirational consumer's market segment.Make sure to consider that your target Aspirational consumer is a Millennial living in Ontario, with an annual household income of $50,000. This income reflects a Canadian middle-class income and means your consumer can not afford to live in a mansion or drive a Mercedes S-class. If you live abroad, you might have to conduct some research about living in Ontario.
STEP ONE:
Narrow down the target market by defining and introducing your target customer. 

  • Find a photo that shows your target customer
  • Give your target customer a name 
  • Define the exact age of your customer 
  • Where does your customer live (urban or rural area)? 
  • Define his/her job
  • What education has your target customer? 
  • What is the immigration background of your customer? 
  • What is the family status? 
  • Does your customer belong to a specific religion? 

 

STEP TWO:
For each of the following points, pick one design element (image, picture, drawing, text, etc.) Your design element must reflect the Aspirational consumer's life lifestyle that you defined in the previous step. Next, explain how your design element relates to the associated topic in a couple of sentences. Your explanation should cite the Five Human Aspirations report. More details are given below.

  • Housing: In what kind of housing does your consumer live? Explain why your consumer would choose this kind of accommodation.
  • Transportation: What mode of transportation does your consumer use? If it's a car, for example, what type of car – why does an Aspirational choose this car?
  • Food: Describe your consumer's eating habits – why does he/she prefer this kind of food?
  • Leisure activities: What does your consumer do in his or her leisure time, and why?
  • Important social causes: What projects does your consumer personally support and why? These projects could be anything that benefits specific segments of society or the greater good.
  • Environment: Describe your consumer's attitude towards the environment. How important is the environment to your consumer?
