Assume the role of a strategist for any organisation of your choice operating in South Africa. Apply the exploring strategy model to the company and evaluate the current strategic position of the company, possible strategic choices, and proposed strategy in action for competitive advantage. Make recommendations to management on areas of improvements to be made in future. Give examples where possible.

3. A strategic leader is a person who has been identified by the organisation for the capabilities they possess to direct and co-ordinate the strategic development process. They also often determine the need for strategy development and take initiative in this regard, and are considered the pioneers of strategy development (Johnson et al., 2011, p.400).
