Critical Appraisal of Work
Working with your designated supervisor, you will be provided with a scientific manuscript in an area consistent with the topic of your narrative review. Using this piece of work, you will be asked to writea one page (10 font, Times New Roman, 1.5 cm margins) critical appraisal of the scientific work. You will need to draw on the recorded lecture content, discussions with the unit lecturer and your designated supervisor to complete this work. Your critical review of the work may incorporate
comment on all sections of the manuscript; yet, should have a heavy focus on the design of the research rational and the methods used to undertake the research. It will be necessary to complete all online lecture content prior to attempting this work.
The critical appraisal assessment will provide valuable knowledge to help you complete your narrative review to a high standard.
The critical appraisal of work will be limited to a single page. If your work extends beyond a single page, you will have your overall mark reduced by 10%. Failure to follow the guidelines for the assessment will result in a 10% reduction in your overall mark.
