The 4-bar linkage is a very simple and basic mechanism in Mechanical Engineering. However, its dynamic analysis is not that simple. But if we can use the SolidWorks Motion Analysis, the answer can be obtained easily.
CAD Modelling of the 4-bar Linkage:To complete this Lab workbook, you need to create two parts using SolidWorks, a base and two links based on the drawings below (Figure 1). And then, you need to assemble them into a 4-bar linkage assembly using these two parts as shown in Figure 2.
