Task description
You have been selected to write a review about an Italian book for your university bookclub journal. Choose an Italian book extract, an Italian short story or a book that you have read in the past. Write an original written text based on information from Italian audio-visual and written sources. You need to:

• write a brief summary of the story 
• include the author’s background and historical context;
• analyse the themes in the text. These may be topical Italian social issues, for example migration, racism, identity crisis, aging, judgement, domestic violence, discrimination or inclusion and integration.
• identify and analyse cultural aspects and compare them with your own cultural experience;
• conclude with your opinion about the text and the reason why the bookclub members should read it.
