1.1. " What teachers accomplish in their profession is a function of who they are". Purkey and Stanley, (1991). This statement aligns correctly with the invitational teaching model which is composed of the perception and self-concept theories. The perception theory states that the perceptions of learners are associated with their behavior since it is driven by perceptions of self and others. Therefore, for teachers to understand the complex behaviors of students is to look closely at the reasons why the learners are do things that they do as this will lead into a deeper understanding of how the learners perceive themselves and the world around them. Secondly, there is the self-concept theory which suggests that humans perceive themselves as others view them or rather, they construct their self-concept from others. For example, when a person sees a collection of characteristics that they like from another person, they are inspired to enforce those in their lives. Equally important, self-concept is shaped by past experiences and future expectations. Also, learners' perceptions are related to the external environmental conditions such as school, home background etc.
Hence, the invitational teaching model indicates that teachers can achieve success by shifting their perceptions of themselves and their world towards a positive frame. To demonstrate, a teacher who wakes up in the morning thinking that they are about to have a bad day having to deal would be less effective compared to a teacher who sees the annoying learners as the opportunity to learn and understand the role of perceptions and the way they influence behavior. The invitational teaching model will be used in my career in several ways.
To begin with, I will shift my self-perception towards a positive frame through positive self-talk to deal with stress and anxiety. I will focus more on understanding how the learners' perceptions relate to behaviors that limit their academic abilities. Moreover, I will make it a habit to motivate my learners on a daily basis through believing in each and every one of them being capable of success.
1.2. There are multiple ways that can be implemented to motivate, inspire and encourage learners to reach their full potential. Most importantly, a teacher is a demonstrator who leads by example. (ICET;2019) In this case, a teacher cannot emphasize punctuality when he is always late therefore teachers should lead by example. Undeniably, being a motivator is essential and plays a vital role in helping the learners tap into their full potential. Surprisingly, if a teacher does not motivate their learners by believing in their capability to achieve success, the learners would continue believing that they are incapable, and this may result in failure.

2.1. Throughout this question the vital role that communication between learners, teachers and parents plays in obtaining the pre-determined educational outcomes will be explained in detail. Firstly, by emphasizing the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication to aid in achieving learning objectives. Secondly, the impact that emotional and cultural intelligence has on interpersonal communication and finally how the invitational teaching model may affect communication between those involved in the educational setting.
The importance of communication between learners, parents and educators should be over emphasized for several reasons. Firstly, verbal communication which is the use of language to transmit the message between teachers, parents and learners alternatively. As an illustration, if a teacher lacks necessary verbal communication skills it may lead to poor interpersonal interactions with other teachers, parents and learners. Subsequently, poor interpersonal communication leads to a less likelihood of achieving the pre-determined learning objectives. Besides the verbal behavior itself, the delivery of the message through tonality and gestures may result in misinterpretations of the message. Indeed, a teacher that communicates with parents and learners without maintaining eye contact is non-verbally communicating the fact that they do not have confidence in their self and what they are saying. In Oder to obtain the educational outcomes teachers have pay closer attention to the non-verbal behaviors that may be communicating different messages such as anger, irritation etc. Definitely, that will improve the effectiveness of meeting the pre-determined learning outcomes. Furthermore, the are more non-verbal cues that teachers can lookout for such as facial expressions, body language, hand gestures and voice related cues. On the other hand, if teachers focus more on sending the correct non-verbal behaviors that create a learning environment that promotes good relationships with others while achieving educational learning outcomes. Sending the facial expression of a smile is associated with friendliness and without a doubt most learners have been found to prefer a warm teacher. Babonea and Muntueunu, (2012). Secondly body language as in posture is connected to the person’s confidence therefore teachers should maintain a good upright posture when interaction with others at all times. Then the display of having confidence and leading by example will then assist in limiting misinterpretation of non-verbal behaviors they send.
