Assessment Details
For this assignment, you will need to complete all the questions from Group 1 and Group.
Group 1 consists of 3 questions. The weightage for each question is of 3 marks each. Follow the word count to guide yourself for the length of your answer.
Group 2 consists of 4 questions. You are required to show all your calculation steps for each of the questions.
Your assessment must include at least 1 academic reference for each task which must be done using the Harvard reference style.

Question 1. In your own words, explain why packet-switched networks are used for data communication instead of Circuit switched (200-250 words).
Question 2. Discuss the importance of following protocols (100 words each).

In this activity, you are given the network address of 205.10.0.0/18 to subnet and provide the IP address for the network shown in the topology. Each LAN in the network requires enough IP addresses for end devices, the switch, and the router. The connection between Branch 1 and Branch 2 will require an IP address for each end of the link (You can ignore this connection).
You will subnet the network address 205.10.0.0/18. The network has the following requirements:

c. Calculate the Broadcast IP for subnet 0.
