You will design an A3 size research poster that provides an overview of your planned essay assignment focus (see (2) below). The poster is to detail:

• organisational behaviour/practices

• list of academic references cited within body of the poster (the list of references are excluded from the count toward the word limit)

You will receive feedback on this from your tutor, with a mark given, which will account for 20% of your final mark. The poster word limit is a maximum 700 words.  

2. A 3000 word essay on: How can organisation theory analyse the selected behaviours and practices of a chosen organisation? – 80%

This essay is to analyse a case organisation in relation to one, or a maximum of two, topics covered in the module. The essay is to use organisation theory about the topic(s) to analyse selected behaviours and practices in the chosen organisation. The student may choose the case organisation and topic(s) to be analysed.

At the end of the module the students will learn to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of organisational behaviour contemporary research on the business and management community.
• Understand and critically analyse contemporary organisations and professional practices
• Acquire, interpret and apply knowledge of international business, management and organisations.
• Develop critical awareness of cultural and ethical contexts in organisations
