Information
You are required to produce a word literature exercise on the relationship between, "Law, Power and Politics" in the English legal system (ELS). This summative exercise is designed to assess your ability to carry out effective research, to use legal and non-legal sources to support arguments, to cite other people's work in accordance with academic conventions and to write in an appropriate manner for undergraduate legal study. This assessment is worth 20% of your overall mark for the module.
While reviewing your sources for this summative literature exercise, you are asked to think of the interplay between law, power, and politics and assess its consequences on England's justice system. That is, to what extent does power influence the ELS and how does this impact its fairness and effectiveness.
Steps to Follow
1. Consider the CRAAP test for each of the sources and only include the sources in your assessment if they pass the test.
2. Write a summary / annotated bibliography about each article in a maximum of words Include the word count on your assessment.
3. In this summary/annotated bibliography, as well as briefly describing the article's content and summarising its main argument(s), you should offer your own evaluation of the article in terms of how it informs your understanding of the relationship/interplay between law, power, and politics on the ELS in ONE of the four areas above.
