Task Details

You are working as a project engineer in a company. You have a new boss who is new to your company and wants a report on the project you are visiting. The boss has requested that you visit this site and report back to him on what is taking place. Your report is expected to provide a project overview and the current (as at the date of your visit) status of the works, within the following:

Assessment criteria

Recommended report length: 3,000 words (10% more or less would be fine) excluding title page, table of contents, references and appendices.

Your report title page must include:

• ‘CIV3603 Site Visit Report’

• The project name

• Topic title (from the list)

• Host Company, and name/s of your host/s

• Date of your site visit

• Your name and student ID

• Your word counts

Clear Report Structure

• Cover page as required

• Clear reporting and presentation of observations; appropriate report structure and use of appendices, tables and diagrams where relevant.

• Any referencing using the Harvard AGPS referencing system.

• The reports MUST include at least five (5) photos relevant to the topic being reported on. The photos must be taken by the student during the site visit. Each photo needs to include a brief description. The photos should be relevant to the other sections described in the report. It is a best practice to refer the photos in the text of other sections of the report.

Report Requirements
