In your essay you will need to describe the mechanism by which the active ingredient affects metabolism, including the biochemical pathways involved. You will need to provide at least three peer-reviewed scientific sources regarding the effectiveness of this ingredient as a supplement, review their findings and comment about the methodologies used in the studies. This section must include conclusions regarding one marketing claim as reviewed in Part I of the assignment.

Mahi is a 21-year-old female, studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and is in her 3rd year of university. She is of south Asian background and currently lives with her family. She struggles with insulin resistance as type 2 diabetes runs in her family for multiple generations. She is 164cm tall and weighs 95kgs with a BMI of over 35.
