The learning theories that underpin this teaching plan are Knowles Adult Learning Theory, Constructivism Theory, and Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction, with principles from these theories being utilised to help design the teaching plan, and guide the creation of the learning outcomes, teaching and learning strategies, and assessment of learning.
