Task : Online forums have been set up for you to discuss the topic of Reservoir Engineering and Simulation with each other. Please work with your peer to learn about Reservoir Engineering aspects such as Oil-Water and Gas-Oil contacts, Material Balance etc. and Reservoir Simulation. Ask each other questions, and try and answer each other’s questions. The purpose of this is to use peer learning to support your in-class teaching.

1. Ask at least one question for each of the following topics (One question must be asked to enable you to answer other’s questions). Someone must reply to your question, so if you are not provoking replies, you must answer another question (whether your group are fair to ignore your question will be evaluated by the assessor).

• Identify fluid contacts from log data & other sources 
• Reservoir engineering concepts: decline analysis, material balance, and the Buckley- Leverett model for fluid flow 
• Reservoir simulation model for the purposes of understanding reservoir characterization and performance using ECLIPSE
•  Effect of gridding on reservoir simulation results 2. Answer at least one question for the aforementioned topics.

The first half of this reflection must focus on what you have learnt about, and you will again not be assessed on what your actual level of ability to reservoir simulation model for the purposes of understanding reservoir characterization and performance using ECLIPSE is (iii & iv), but on the quality of your reflections. Be frank about what teaching you learnt well from, and what aspects of the teaching you struggled with. You may also include prior learning from the module in your self-reflection, and action plans for self-development based on interest, or perceived weaknesses are encouraged. This part of your self-reflection should focus on the following two aspects:

1. The practicalities of the learning process from your perspective (how could it have been improved for you? Or how could you have made it better for yourself?)
2. The specifics of what you have learnt and how you can envisage benefitting from this in the future.

The second half of your self-reflection should focus on the specifics of i & ii and demonstrate good understanding of the topic. Marks will be awarded specifically for evidence of solid and wide understanding of the topic of identifying fluid contacts from well logs and material balance concept.
